“...maintain a sound and efficient dialogue between the family and the
school in order to provide a secure environment, one which is promoting the personal
growth of students...”
An efficient communication with our parents has always
been a major objective in all of our programs. Much
to our parents’ appreciation, early on in the
school year, both school and residence services establish
a regular schedule of telephone communications, once
every or second week, if only to inform the parent
on how well their child is adapting to its new environment
or how well he or she is performing at the school.
Besides these regular telephone communications, all
schools at Centre Jules-Léger hold regular
meetings with their respective School Councils where
parents can get a wealth of informations relative
to their child or the program within which that child
evolves. Beyond the Provincial Report Card, the formal
presentation of the student’s IEP to the parents
and the Personalized Intervention Program from the
Residential Services, both schools have their own
format of a newsletter where students publish some
of their better achievments.
In compliance with the Safe Schools Act, our Code
of Conduct has been revised to reflect the new guidelines
set out by the Ministry, a document which spells out
the responsabilities of each of the partners of the
educational process, including those of the students,
for a secure environment, one promoting their personal
growth.
